AutoCut / FireCut Alternative, One-Time Price
Looking for an AutoCut or FireCut alternative without a subscription? We compare prices, features and gaps as of October 2026, with sources.
AutoCut and FireCut are two popular Premiere plugins that automate repetitive editing: silence removal, retake cleanup, captions and Shorts. Both are sold as monthly or yearly subscriptions. This page explains where Suflo, a one-time-price Premiere panel, is a good alternative and where it isn't.
Disclosure: this page was written by the team that builds Suflo, so we are not neutral. That is why competitor prices come from the plans their makers published as of October 2026, sources are listed at the end, and Suflo's gaps get their own section. Prices change; check the official pages before you decide.

Where Suflo is strong
- One payment: buy Pro once, updates included. No monthly fee, credits or minute limits.
- Local processing: speech is transcribed on your computer for captions and cuts; audio and video are not uploaded. AI steps send only text, with your free Groq key.
- Non-destructive: text-based cut works on a copy sequence and Shorts are created as separate subsequences. Listen to a cut before you apply it.
- Free core: captions in 99 languages, the editor and SRT/VTT export are free and open source with no time limit.
- Multilingual from day one: fillers like "um", "uh" and "ııı" are detected, and Turkish casing rules (İ/ı) are handled correctly.
- Retakes and podcasts included: one-click cleanup keeps one take of each retake or false start, optionally matched to your script, and Podcast Mode switches cameras by mic on a copy of the sequence, all in the same one-time license.
What Suflo doesn't have (yet)
The first three are features AutoCut or FireCut have and Suflo doesn't as of October 2026; the rest are Suflo's own limits:
- No DaVinci Resolve support. Suflo works only in Premiere; AutoCut also supports Resolve.
- No one-click first draft like FireCut's Magic Cut; you run the tools one by one.
- No community preset library. AutoCut has 1000+ community caption presets; Suflo has built-in styles, a Brand Kit and one-line style codes you can share, but no public library.
- Podcast Mode needs one mic per speaker. Speakers recorded on a single mixed track aren't separated yet, and Premiere multicam source sequences aren't supported.
- AI steps need a key. Viral moments, chapter titles and AI retake matching need a free Groq key; the first-run guide sets it up in about a minute.
- English interface is in beta. A few messages may still appear in Turkish.
Which one fits you?
Choose AutoCut if you also edit in DaVinci Resolve, or a big community preset library is critical for you. Choose FireCut if you want a one-click first draft from raw footage and a subscription suits you. Choose Suflo if you edit in Premiere, would rather pay once than subscribe, and want your footage to stay on your computer.
You can try all three without risk: AutoCut has a 14-day trial, FireCut a 7-day trial, and Suflo's free tier has no time limit plus 3 free tries of every code-based Pro tool (Auto Cut, retake cleanup, zoom, enhance audio, styled captions…); content libraries, the Shorts Package and Podcast Mode are Pro-only. Run the same clip through each and compare.
Suflo 3.2: speed ramps without shifting your edit
Pro · 3 free tries. Apply 11 curves to a clip or an In/Out range. Clip position and duration stay unchanged; captions and music do not shift. Remove ramp restores one clip at 100% speed in one click.
Premiere does not expose Time Remapping to extensions, so ramps use short, constant-speed pieces that remain editable in Premiere. Read the speed ramp guide.
The free caption core is updated too: live transcription, time left and Cancel; measured local word timings, a 2 lines × 42 layout, Fast / Most accurate decoding, sound-tag filtering and a silent-audio warning. Offline English translation is Pro, with 3 free tries.
